Can it work? How? Zimbabwe Cricket gets a chunk of money from the ICC and television deals (enabling the system to pay some players $5000 per month), but ZRU has no such leg to stand on.

Here are my ideas
- ZRU and football band together to built/lease 5 modern stadiums (Bulawayo, Mutare, Harare, Gweru and Masvingo) to be used for the 2016 Nations Cup bid.
- By giving Harare 3 teams and Bulawayo 2, a competitive 8 team league can be formed. No relegation, and an American draft system for the best students.
- A similar system in football is impossible but 5 big teams can be anchor tenants
- Government can build the stadiums, what are diamonds for?

the standard of play would need to be improved so that pay channels are interested in buying games to broadcast. that means everyone has to be on point , ie zru should be professinal and competent, coaches need to be trained and kids need to play rugby from primary school and continue after high school. some of the people i knew who played mat'land and played at cotco and  craven week are now boozers after giving up the game after school because therre was no future in it for them
