Please help.  I have lost some important files on flash disk.  The disk had a virus, and my panda 'disinfected' then the files went missing.  How do I recover them.  They are really important.  When I look at my antivirus report, I can see the file names listed as disinfected. I did not delete them.  Would an antivirus delete the files without asking me first?

How do I recover these files?  Would appreciated your help. Its a matter of life and death!

what anti virus software are you using?

Have a look in the quarantine folder of your antivirus; no software will delete files without asking first.
Also try looking under folder options and select show hidden files.

My folder options is showing hidden files.  The files are listed in the quarantine report, but thats as far as it goes.  I dont see the files anywhere else.

If the files were on a flash drive and you can't see them they are gone for good, the only thing might be if panda has a restore function or has put them in a quarantine folder.

if you can send me the files (the quarantined ones) and i'll try and recover them for you or if you feel its safe i can take control of your pc via msn and see if i can recover the files.
