Glee dvd co-creator Ian Brennan has denied asking Kings of Leon to undertake on the musical show.

Last month, Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill pointed out that the band had turned down appearances on Glee on dvds and Ugly Betty seasons dvd to avoid "selling out".

However, Canadian Press quotes Brennan, executive producer of the hit high school drama, as saying that he did not approach the group to show up.

Songs that will feature in the Glee 2 dvd include 'Empire State Of Mind' by Jay-Z and Alicia Keys and 'Losing My Religion' by R.E.M.. The cast will also perform a unique Rocky Horror Show-themed episode.

Glee Season 2 begins on Tuesday at 8/7c on Fox.
