We got SA and  A sides coming. Then Bangladesh Pakistan and New Zealand touring.

Todii? Groom teams or try and compete with the perenial failures...

Eltie has resigned or pushed to resign. My opinion is these youngsters can not handle extra responsibilities. I think we need a bigger backroom to help the figure head captain. I think its not a bad idea that the back room staff does think off all fielding techniques and bowling changes "...in advance..." and take the load off the "captain".

vapfana vedu need to concentrate on fielding, batting and bowling. captaincy inoda game rako rava established. Look at how gayle's game was affected by captaincy and how MS has lost his big hitting style, Afridi struggle due to responsibilities, DPMD and Vettori went through the turmoils of captaincy. These are just guys in recent times, who were established but struggled with the burden of captaincy. In Zim hatina munhu ari established...

Now hatisisina kwekuwana coach futi, Fletcher aenda, Flower agarika kuBritain... Uyu butcher haana nyaya uyu. Now we still need to attract, Lara, Waugh and Warne as mentors... Can Chingoka pull that one off

Better we play and lose badly for a while. Talent is there in Zim. Its that transition from school to first class level that is problematic. But the more they play and learn, the more the players can pass on to players just coming through from school at provincial level. The same applies to our rugby really but thats a story for my next blog on here.

The only way they will get better is to be exposed to tough opposition consistently

How long is a while? We have been luzing since 2004 and when will we say enough is enough... These guys have been luzing for too long now.
Bangladesh rebuild well after us and have won a series already...

Mablazo, Elton story is on cric info, iccccricketworld too. I say half haul, not overhaul! The current crew has 3 good players and we can retain them, the others need to go back to franchises and train hard.

Is Ozias Bvute still running the ZCU?

I say let them play the good teams they will eventually improve.
Also I hope our politicians are staying away from cricket affairs.

I thot we should have naturalised that Pakistan Sikandar razar. he is doing well in the castle Logan Cup. But that cup also shows the stagnant state of our cricket... ANY ONE WATCHING, I follow Sourthen Rocks....

I think its a good call Kachere. Hopefully, Taylor wont lose his form and equally, I hope that it allows for Elton to get back into form.

I like the idea of a Taylor/Masakadza opening partnership.  Apart from Taibu, I dont have much faith in the middle order.

Whats the 411 on the quicks? Its always they who ruin things for us. Is there any exciting new talent out there?

Yes mablazo, Eltie was not the best but the real problem has always been the lack of experience in the team. There is need for leadership from outside: As I said in some other post WE NEED A NON PLAYING CAPTAIN.

Exactly one of my points. The burden of captaincy on a "promising player"... Imagine he will now have to ubnderstand fielding against individual players, he will need to understand his bowlers more. I tell you we have destroyed the boy. handicapped him just like that. Let the boys play the game 1st...

The other issue is why did we have this story since April with counter denials... a waste of time and no preparation for the new captain (he wont even play practise matches, they will be another captain, Vusi Sibanda). ZC toying with the country's game.

The other issue arises from the statements in the story, "...he is our best player...", that does not make him the leader!!!! remember Sachin Tendulkar struggling to lead India in the 90s...?

And did any one see the future tours program? My mukosho!

The kids need to learn the game more. The adminstration has to make sure of that. Its funny we want to go back to play test cricket when we cant win against SA/Ausie XI.

Campbell is one of the NATIONAL selectors... :D  :D  :D
