Well there were three worms in a line.  The one at the front said, "I'm at the front and there are two worms behind me."  The one at the back said, "I'm at the back and there are two worms in front of me."  The one in the middle said, "I'm in the middle but there are no worms in front or behind me."  Why did he lie?

I heard this joke in a Chinese film, and when one man asked another, "Why did he lie?", he then answered (before the second man could), "Perhaps he lied in order to avoid getting fried!", to which the second man said, "But worms can't lie!"

Oh well, maybe it doesn't quite survive the translation but it was very funny at the time.

reminds me of this movie i tried to watch....only watched the first bit and just could'nt stomach it, human caterpillar it was called...i was totally grossed out.

Perhaps you mean Human Centipede?  If so then I agree with you.  I've heard about it and I don't think I would want to watch it.  It is very controversial.

Why, of course 'human centipede'.....just remembered the title had something to do with one of the many-legged creepy crawlies, sick movie.


Is that the girl from 'the ring' on your profile pic? ever watched the japanese version, if so do u find it scarier?

Yes, it is Sadako from 'The Ring'.  I've watched both the original Japanese version and the American remake, and strangely enough, I found the American remake scarier.  That was unusual because the remakes are often not as good as the originals.

True, most remakes don't live up to the originals....interesting that the japanese version is not as scary, have always thought it would be as there's a lot of hype about the original japanese versions of the Ring, Pulse, The eye etc.

I must admit, The Ring is probably the scariest psychological horror i've ever watched, it was just horrible....for me anyway.

You are right, the original versions are usually better, and I've seen the original versions of all those films that you just mentioned.  Have you seen Dark Water?  If not then do see it.  Of course, I mean the original Japanese version, the American remake is not much good.  If you thought that The Ring was scary, then Dark Water will be too.
The reason why I found The Ring to be scary was because at that time I used to work nights doing security work.  The mind certainly plays tricks on you when you are patrolling lonely sites on a dark, misty or rainy night!

lol, that's brave, watching a scary film knowing fully well, u'd be working in that kinda environment after! I've not watched Dark Water, might watch it online this evening, will give u my take on it.....that is if i brave it out

Watched it! ( japanese version of course   ), I did'nt find it that scary, probably cos i was steeling myself for something even scarier. Really good storyline....no blood and gore, loved it! Thanx shash.
It broke my heart though, especially the part where lil ikuko lost her mum to mitsuko.

Yeah, I'm glad you liked it.  I must admit, I found the end part quite chilling, when the girl (now a teenager) goes back to that tower block to their old apartment and finds her mother there, or rather the ghost of her mother.  Wow, I'm having chills just remembering it now, and it even makes me feel like crying, it was just so sad how her mother just disappeared moments after meeting again after all those years.
Every time I see a Hello Kitty bag it makes me remember that movie.

Oh yeah! that part was chilling....particularly when she felt mitsuko's presence behind her ( and you could just about make out the silhouette of her body) but when she (ikuko), slowly turned round there was noone there and then when she turned back to face her mother, she'd vanished!

Tiya, I can recommend two films right now, I don't know if you've seen them or not.  A somewhat weird and disturbing Japanese horror, Audition, and a fairly scary Korean horror, Phone.  There are so many, I need to review my collection, there are still some that I haven't seen properly, and I love to watch all the special features.  But yeah, Audition is really something, you've just got to see that film.
