Hey! Well i am a 16 year old girl and i have been getting perms since i was about 14 or 13. Recently i have told my mom i don't want anymore perms...im thinking about going natural. I dont know if im ready for the "big chop" yet but idk if i have to then i will do it with no prob. Im getting kinky twist in a few days. If i was to go natural and get the chop what type of hair care products would i need because i have no idea and my mom does not either. She also get perms. I also have sensitive scalp and all my perms xcept the FIRST was for sensitive scalp. After my first perm which was too strong broke off my hair...i regret getting a perm in the first place. So can someone please help me!...thanks. I think the women with natural hair look sooooo beautiful and i love the puff.lol it's soooo cute and stylish. I really don't want to have damaged hair anymore and it's time for a change!

I use Jojoba for replenishing my hair. I live in a cold environment so it works perfectly for me. If you have dry kinky hair, then I'd advice you to try it. Depending on the quality, it can be quite pricey but still costs less than having relaxed hair.

Everything will be ok. If it's not OK it's not the end.

Natural Hair is not difficult to maintain as the guest above said. All you need is to buy the right hair products and not go for the normal high street ones which everyone tends to go for. They might seem a bit expensive than your normal products but trust me, it pays off and its way cheaper than relaxing or having to constantly put some weave on. I found this website helpful, www.naturalpassion.co.uk they have products which suit natural hair and if you follow their blog you will get some usefull tips as well. Good luck.

I keep my hair natural...
I wash it once a week, and that is on a Sunday.
Before I wash it, I put on conditioner it, comb it, and twist it
I then shampoo, and condition.
After drying it, I apply hair food with herbs and oil, then undo the twists
Sometimes I just style it without combing the curls from twists straight, and sometimes I comb it into an Afro

I twist the hair before going to bed, and every morning, I add the hair food
This keeps it ridiculously sof, shiny, and easy to manage
Secret is to moisturize

It depends on how we took good care of our hair. Hair products are not that necessary though we can consider it but we need to choose the tested and safe one. We can also consider the natural ones like aloe vera and coconut oil
