But, a custom design appeals to the prospective buyer and is also effective at converting the visitor into a buyer. A custom website can thus generate rich revenues for the owner.
Usually, the custom website proves to be profitable in the longer run. The difference between the template website and custom web design is also applicable for the copied. If the website is copied from another website, the visitors are going to know that the website is copied and this may create such a wrong image and the visitor may never revisit the website. Like a template website, the copied website can only work as a temporary strategy.
A Custom web design created by a professional web design firm will surely add on to the business, but the template and copied site are proved to be reducing the business.

depends on what you using to design the site.... wordpress and joomla templates can be easily customized.. there thousands of plugins and widgets to do almost anything, which you pay an expensive programmer to do.. what you saying above is only good for people with big pockets... for the povo and general people a theme based or template site is good.

You can also customise any theme based website. Check http://www.netbrowse.net it its a Wordpress based website but looks expensive.
