What has this to do with Gumbo? The Gumbo totem originates from Tansania, Guruuswa.

No. Its just like Rahman supposedly identifies himself with Ndebeles. I personally have no problems with that, but facts on the ground are as I have already stated. Chinomukutu came from Bindura (Musana) to settle in what is now called Gutu. Our relatives who remained in Musana are Korekore, and Chinomukutu, actually Chinemukutu because of his Korekeore roots, is only identified as Karanga because he settled in a Karanga area, or rather in an area which is now considered Karanga. Basically all Gumbos still consider Musana (Korekore speaking) as their original home in Zimbabwe. But they did not invent the Korekore dialect. There were already others speaking the dialect. Even the Hungwes who ruled Zimbabwe before Monomotapa were actually not Karanga. Karanga came to be, with Monomotapa and the Rozvi empire just like Zulu notion originated from Tchaka.

What is true is that most, if not all of the bantu tribes in Southern Africa passed through Rwanda/Brundi on their long march southwards. Some historians even suggest that the Nguni and the Shona came at the same time (as one tribe) to the south. The now Shona settled in Zimbabwe and the now Nguni continued further to the south.
The rest you should know. Its the theatre of ignorant uneducated people on this forum.
Facit: lets stand up straight for our African heritage!

Very similar to that of Gumbo. From the north of Africa through east down to Zimbabwe.

Quite a lot is being made out of the junk to my view. I can see kwv is already insunuating that something positive could have been genetically donated into his gene-pool from the Neanderthal's huge brain. This is more like saying because we share some huge percentage of our genome with the house fly, we might at least have some gene capacity to fly.

IF Rush actually said what was attributed to him in that poorly written piece, then he was right.
If he didnt say it, then he was wrong.

Rush's dad is Shona, but he is Ndebele. anyone is free to be what they want to be.
Just like I would never want to be Burundan.

Tribalism is for idiots...

What makes a Ndebele better than a shona!?

Genes?

Clicking sounds in his language?

The fact that he comes from the southern part of the country?

What? What? What?

Nonsense!!!!

Stupid uneducated moron that Rahman shi*it is!

What are Ndebele achievements one can be proud of, that makes him infer any superiority over a Shona?

Ps if u were to conduct genetic studies, it may not be surprising that a lot of shonas share a greater genetic link to Tshaka,

But I wouldn't know how being genetically or even culturally related to Tshaka might make one superior to the other.

A lot of hogwash we have here!

That's a very Nguni-centric view of the Ndebele, a lot of us(Ndebeles) are of Kalanga/lozwi decent.

an example would be Welshman Ncube and Jonathan Moyo, they can probably trace their origins in Zimbabwe over a 1,000 years, because of their of Kalanga decent.

infect some Ndebeles like the two examples i just gave, can trace their origins in Zimbabwe longer than some Shonas(not all) who have Malawian and Zambian fathers  who only arrived in the 1900s.

That's why when some shonas say "Go back to KwaZulu" they are ill informed about Ndebele history, 60% of the Ndebele nation in the 1890s was composed of people who were indigenous to Zimbabwe(Kalanga,Tonga,Nyai, Nambzya, Rozvi and Karanga) so because these groups eventually mixed with the Ngunis and Sotho/tswana, all Ndebeles today are descendants of not only Nguni and sotho/tswana who came from South Africa, but also people who are or were indigenous to Zimbabwe and had lived in Zimbabwe for over 1,000 years.

Tribalism has nothing to do with superiority or inferiority! Its that hatred of two tribes based of founded or unfounded truths. I hate the shona coz they killed my relatives after independance.
