What is a Christian? Like everything else, the Bible has plenty of contradictory answers....faith only! works! faith AND works! Blah blah

Seems to me that a Christian is simply someone who tries his best to emulate the life of Jesus of Nazareth and his principles, which are clearly laid out in four(!) gospels.

Therefore, if you do not follow any of the following Jesus principles (which are found in all 4 gospels), you are not really a Christian, no matter what you believe:

-Give to anyone who asks of you, whatever it may be and don't expect it back (Luke 6:30 etc)
-Despise and leave your family as soon as you are able (14 different references & counting)
-Hang around and help the poor and destitute, avoid Priests and rich people at your peril.
-Don't dare look at a woman with lust, or you have committed adultery, a crime punishable by death in Jesus' time

Does this sound like any Christians you know today? Of course not...false believers the lot of them. Liars and thieves: they better pray that Jesus ain't waiting for them on the other side

If evidence is shown to an idiot they simply block it out and tell you some of their own beliefs. An idiot will believe in an imagined supernatural world, Where it can have super heroes and they are capable of magic. So as you can see there is nothing a Christian has in common with an idiot" Asker, Yahoo Answers

You had tried except for this bullshit quotation.

However, HEARER of those four gospels must go on to receive the promised HOLY Spirit.

So a Christian is aperson who that which you pointed by the Spirit of God, if you do that without the Holy Spirit you are not a Christian but a good citizen of this present world only.

In this you were so close to the answer. Keep on pumping one day you will filled with the Holy Ghost and you shall understand the kingdom of heaven then

The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.

Is this a complement or mockery because you promoted me to the lvel of the disciples of Jesus Christ!!!
'you noticed that i am an unlearned and ignorant man, but you also noted that i have been with Jesus Christ'

Tell me why do people get PHD  and LLD  in Theology to read what the ignorant men wrote (of course except Paul)??

Try to stick to the subject. (What it is to be a Christian) It's too easy to ridicule you but that just detracts from what I'm trying to say...so I'm only going to respond to anything regarding the subject matter.

You can thank me later for giving you a free education along the way...
