So Jeff Madzonga the CEO of NewZimbabwe.com, is also an employee for the Diaspora funeral insurance scheme. Here is my problem with this, when NewZimbabwe reported about this matter they didn't disclose this information. It is important to note they talked about this Diaspora funeral insurance scheme in glowing terms and even provided links to the websites. For me this breaks all the rules of proper journalism. They should have revealed this conflict of interest to the reader.

But they should still have revealed this information. They where not honest. If they can lie on this or forge  the facts, who knows what else are they lying on ?

This is not a matter of disclosure laws. It is a matter of honesty. You know, if they are going to report on a matter then they have to reveal all conflicts of interest. Most renowned newspapers do that ! If they want to be recognized as a big player...then they have to follow the unwritten rules which make the profession of journalism beautiful and important to humanity as a whole.

There is no need to be vulgar first of all.


It depends, do you want your media enterprise to be treated seriously as an institution of proper journalism, or you want people to regard it as that place which pushes 419 scams down our throats under the disguise of reporting business news ?

I had a relative planning to join this scheme after reading about it from NewZimbabwe. She  asked me to investigate about it before signing up her whole family.   After further investigation l uncovered the conflict of interest which was not disclosed in the article. This is a big deal guys. If they can hide this, what else are they hiding about the diaspora funeral scheme ? We have to take this shit seriously, this is how people get scammed. If we don't call them out, today its my relative and tomorrow its you !
